Key Eligibility Requirements
Age Requirement
Must be under 45 years old when invited to apply for the visa. Age points are awarded on a sliding scale, with maximum points for applicants aged 25-32 years.
English Language Skills
Minimum IELTS score of 6.0 in each band (or equivalent test). Higher scores earn more points, with maximum points for scores of 8.0 or above.
Skills Assessment
Positive skills assessment in an occupation on the relevant skilled occupations list. Your qualifications and experience must be assessed by the appropriate authority.
Work Experience
Points awarded for skilled employment in your nominated occupation or a closely related occupation. More points for Australian work experience.
Application Process

Get your qualifications and experience assessed by the relevant assessing authority for your occupation.
English Test
Take an approved English language test (IELTS, PTE, TOEFL, etc.) and achieve the required scores.
Expression of Interest (EOI)
Submit an EOI through SkillSelect, indicating your preferred visa options and providing detailed information about your skills and experience.
Invitation to Apply
If selected, you'll receive an invitation to apply for the visa. You have 60 days to submit a complete application.
Visa Application
Submit your visa application with all required documents, including police certificates, health examinations, and evidence of claimed points.
